Whitney Smith's Bird Cupcake Stands are perfect for those who love presentation but don't want to commit to an entire cake. They also do double-duty as candle pedestals when not occupied with cupcakes. Available in two sizes in milk white, robin egg blue, French grey, vintage green, or emeraude green with brown birds. Sold separately or as a pair (one small, one large).
It's no surprise that the work of Oakland ceramic artist Whitney Smith brings to mind treasures from a bygone era: aesthetically influenced by the Art Nouveau and Arts and Crafts movements of the 19th and 20th centuries, Smith also emulates the craftsmanship of an earlier time, throwing her pieces on a potter's wheel first, and then carving and texturing them into their final shapes.
